taunted...

Made an Alpine run to stock up once again just in case the next couple of forecasts are correct.  Was hopeful this afternoon once the vortex gave in a bit.  Drizzle for about an hour but no downpour.  Had the time lapse running just in case of a flash and set up a depth gauge for the dam.  Benita got a rinse but looked a little miffed that her cover isn't up yet.

Got a strange bump in blog page visits yesterday that started about 9AM.  Almost 1000 extra visitors for the day but I'm not sure why.  If someone posted a link somewhere - please let me know.

I posted your NY Times article on Twitter, so it could have come from that??? It was re-tweeted by several people who have large following...

I think you've got rain on the brain (rain/run). I look at the temperature listed in your posts and I'm simply amazed at what you've gotten done in such beastly conditions. BTW, how can you tell what Benita's expression is? And is the term for her coloring "sorrel", or something else? Stay hydrated.

I'm not responsible for the uptick, but am not surprised as the sleeping Penelope would be worth some attention.

JW - Cows don't stand the way Benita is - with her feet together LOL Obviously posing for her photograph!

Please - won't you let me know how your dam is doing - did the bentonite work?

@John do you get google analytics w/ your blogger account? If yes, you can lurk in there and see referrers (i.e. where people are coming from).... and see how it trends over time.

So glad to hear that you got a little rain. It cooled off for us here in the big city, too. The rain came to just north of the city limits. Fingers crossed for more of the same for you and for us.

Benita seems to be saying "Daddy, you said my new house would be finished before the rains! What happened?"

Best of luck with all.

I notice that when I load your site that I get a lot of data transferring at the bottom of your page, and when I go to the comment section it does it again. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
