from a previous life...

Gotta get some piles of materials here soon.  Just figured out I need about 500 8"x16" pavers but can't wrap my head around how many cubic yards of sand I'll need to level the playing field tonight.  Must be because of my former life (thanks Chris Callis for the archive photos).  67,76,48,0,W

Hi John some help with sand calculations for 500 pavers at 8"x16" gives you 445 square feet so for a depth of 1" of sand you will need 37 cubic feet of sand there being 27 cubic feet in the average yard of sand 3 yards will give you a 3inch base with a little wiggle room for slopeing. Also if you put in water saving benches then the water will not run onto the floor of the greenhouse and be lost just incase you are not going hydroponic. Also if you have any questions on anything for the greenhouse and want to shoot the breeze feel free to ask. Have been growing tomatos in a solar greenhouse for 10 yrs in upstate new york..

LOL, I believe that there is a Game Boy in your buddy's hands on the airplane. Good times in the 90s.

Hey John, as a commercial photographer, I've always admired Chris Callis' work. I admire the pioneer in you as well. Continued good luck in your work. I'm green with envy!

Wonderful former life photos...looks worlds away from how and where you are now. Hard to imagine you in that life style but I imagine the people from your former life say the same thing about you now? The one photo looks similar to you standing in one of your containers now...back to the future :o)
